This year, Tandem was brought into a high-growth manufacturing IoT analytics startup while their Head of People took maternity leave. We onboarded right after a successful fundraise and at the beginning of an exciting period of growth for the company. During our time, we developed a talent acquisition program which achieved a 68% increase in headcount. We also delivered a employee leveling tool and company-wide compensation bands. With teams growing fast, we coached managers to have growth-oriented review conversations with their team members; connecting our work with the company value of empowerment.
One of our favorite projects was bringing their global team together for their first in-person summit since 2019. Working closely with leadership, we were able to build and execute a multi-day onsite, crafting sessions to allow team members to better understand the goals of other functions and cross-functional initiatives. The summit allowed different teams to know each other more as humans and build bonds to strengthen their own team.
When the Head of People was preparing to return, we ensured she had a smooth transition back into the company. Helping a new mom succeed in her newly evolved role was the perfect way to wrap up our time with this wonderful company.
At the beginning of 2023, Tandem was brought in to support a new modern dermatology company during a crucial growth phase. Over the past year, our collaboration with the leadership team coincided with an impressive period of growth. A pivotal project was the development of a comprehensive culture strategy focused on identifying values and unifying the company culture, which elevating the eNPS score by an impressive 42 points. This new strategy has allowed the company to open new locations while maintaining and improving its company culture.
To reinforce this work, our tailored manager training sessions empowered leaders to foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment. Additionally, our DEIB initiatives, leadership coaching, and new compensation strategy enhanced inclusivity and improved overall performance across the organization. Working closely with their managers, we revamped their onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for new hires. Furthermore, we provided thoughtful and tactful guidance on intricate employee relations matters.
We wrapped up the year with a full transition to an upgraded HRIS, optimizing HR operations and enhancing the overall employee experience. As we step into 2024, our focus remains on organizational development, leadership coaching, and the establishment of scalable HR processes in tandem with the leadership team's strategic vision.
Tandem also enjoyed working with a seed-stage startup and watching the growth this team has experienced. In 2023, Tandem overhauled their new employee onboarding program and processes, helping the recruiting team focus their time and energy on finding top-level talent. We’ve been working closely with senior leadership to support driving a culture of professionalism and growth by hiring new management for all locations, providing management training and coaching, as well as creating rewards & recognition programs for employees.
As we look to 2024, we are excited to support the opening of their fourth location and to continue our work coaching leadership, providing day-to-day HR functions, and solidifying a winning culture to support their business strategy.
